First Aid at Work - QCF Accredited (3 days)

Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or engineering staff. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.

Students are continually assessed throughtout the course. Upon successful completion certification is valid for three years*.

If your delegates have previously completed the full 3 day First Aid at Work Course and their certification is in date or within 28 days after the expiry date you may wish to consider the 2 day requalification course.

*Under the current guidelines it is 'strongly recommended' that first aid trained staff attend a half-day update every 12 months - before completing full re-qualification training at the three year point.

We keep the class motivated and interested in the subject by using visual training aids followed by interactive practical elements. Learning is carried out in a fun and engaging manner.

The First Aid at Work syllabus cover the following :-

> First Aid priorities
> Managing Incidents
> Basic Life Support
> Examination of a Casualty
> Unconsciousness
> Control of Bleeding
> Fractures
> Burnes & scalds
> Common Illnesses
> Heart Attacks
> Recording & Reporting
> First Aid Kits

The cost of the three-day course is from only 100+ vat per person, when run at your venue, and includes certification and a manual. There are no additional costs.

An accredited certificate will be issued by Highfield Awarding Body for certification upon completion.

We can also take care of your training schedule and remind you when your certification is about to expire.
